Bookends
The goal of this project was to create a concept for bookends that would fit in MoMA's store. This meant analyzing and working to fit key design characteristics.

I took this as an opportunity to try and create a unique solution to holding up books.

Concept
The idea behind this bookend was to get the user involved in the creation and design of the product itself. Sold as what could be called a bag, the main body is limp until the user adds the included medium, such as plaster or concrete. The bag is then propped up and hardens in position, with the 3 wooden rings acting as support and a structural guide.

This means that each bookend is different from the next, with the folds and positioning giving a unique design.
