Prism Watering Can
1st Year
The idea behind this project was to play with translucent materials and the interplay between internal and external forms. Instead of interest coming from its external shape exclusively, it comes from its interaction with its internal structure.

I started by researching diamond cuts and looking into the ways they maximize diamond fire - the colours resulting from the internal light refractions and reflections.

In the end, the object's internal geometric cutout creates complex visual distortions, making something of a functional display piece.
